I truly think that Michigan is the true #2 team. I would like to point out that I am a Ohio State fan.
Michigan did play a tougher schedule than USC.
Everyone does realise that there is one other undefeated team in the NCAA shouldn't they have the chance at the title to if USC has the chance with one win.

SC beat Notre Dame, Cal, Oregon, Nebraska, and Arkansas. All teams that are are were at some point ranked.
Michigan beat Notre Dame and Michigan State. And they had their shot at Ohio.
Judging by the teams that I listed above, USC is the clear cut team to get another shot at the National Title. Their schedule was clearly tougher, and they came back from a horrible loss by 2 points to conference rivals Oregon St. The title will go down to Ohio and SC.
The winner will be the trojans. Ohio can not go 6 weeks between ball games and expect to be able to battle a now very tough Trojans team..

Three things will keep Michigan out of the title game, Vanderbilt, Central Michigan, and Ball State. They should have scheduled tougher out of conference opponents.
Michigan's best hope is for the UGLY bRUINS to win next Saturday

Yes I do . I saw the game I didn't see a superior Ohio State team beat up on an inferior opponent . What I did see was a bonehead roughing the passer play which lead to the Ohio State victory. Prior to that play Michigan's defense pretty much had the Ohio state offense under control. Actually Ohio State should be #1 and Michigan should be 1A

a significant majority of the sportswriters and coaches don't think they're #2, so obviously not.
after michigan lost to ohio state and after USC beat cal, michigan was still #2 in the BCS. USC is playing better as each week passes so they deserve the #2 spot.

no,USC is going to play in the dance ........deal with it or not..i don't care either way.........but what i do know is this don't get fruity in the head just because ur team is Michigan and cant face the facts that ur team isn't #1.......and if it so happens that they do play OSU again i wouldn't be surprised. it all about money anyway.................i got a thought 4 u, why don't they just give Michigan the title right now so all of u Michigan fans can stop crying about not being #1,even though Michigan lost...............Any way Michigan can get it right! ............wrong! they lost get over it and play for #2 ,because that's all u all have left.............

Please. USC has played Arkansas (playing for SEC title), Nebraska (playing for Big-12 title), Cal (ranked 9th in the preseason), Oregon (ranked as high as 12th or 11th), Notre Dame (ranked 2nd in the preseason).
Plus this young USC team plays only 5 seniors and 15 true fresmen. And consider what has USC accomplished in the past a couple of years. 5 straight Pac-10 titles, 3 consecutive No.1 recruiting classes, defeated non-conference foes like Michigan, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Oklahoma..
Michigan fans will forever support their Michigan team and Florida fans will forever root for their gators so what's point of asking this garbage?
Let Media, coaches, sports writers and AP officials decide who should be playing for the title. I assume they know better than y'all fans.

No, I think that USC deserves to be there the way they thrashed a pretty good and determined ND squad. When you look at how USC has dominated college football over the past four years I think they have earned the right. You have to remember that Vince Young's desperation heroics are the only thing that kept the Trojans from three straight national championships.. SC is pretty good.

I hate Michigan, but a team that loses to #1 and beat Notre Dame by 26 is better than a team that lost to unranked and beat ND by 23 or whatever.

yes. There is nothing shameful about losing by 3 points to the #1 ranked team on its home turf. In addition to beating Notre Dame more convincingly than USC (recall it was a blowout by half time), UM also handed Wisconsin its only loss of the season.
