I heard this one on another website and I loved it. The whole family was altogether for some sort of gathering (christmas would be great for this) the daddy to be is taking the picture and says "smile, my wife is pregnant" then you snap the picture and you get the look on all their faces when you share the good news. congrats to you and your wife

Send birth announcements in the mail, send a balloon saying congrats on the new arrival with a flower to your mothers, buy a baby outfit and pull it out while in conversation and ask what everyone thinks of it, or if you haven't shared pictures with anyone lately, get some pictures together and add one with something to do with a baby in the stack saying we're having a baby.... If I think of any thing else I will update.

perchance for the children you've a scavenger hunt. go away clues around the abode ensuing in a treasure. Then the treasure will be a sparkling sibling... Like "toddler's call" will be a huge brother/sister. Then perchance have a toddler naming contest... you could make a card or poster with a stork. The blanket it includes might want to have the #8 on 08/08/08... reliable luck.

Well...
1.) You could give the grandparents t-shirts or coffee mugs (World's Best Grandma, What Happens at Grandpa's stays at Grandpa's, etc.)
2.) Send a cake shaped like a baby bootie or rattle
3.) Send a pack of pacifiers and ask them to prepare to be on-call to babysit
4.) Ask them to pick up diapers at the grocery store

congratulations there! i really have no creative ways but the traditional telling them that ur wife's prego isnt that bad but maybe u should try this: gather them all round and ask them:would you like my wife to have a child..if they figure out what your telling give them a wink and allow others to get the idea

Congrats! Be sure to buy the cutest Christmas stocking you can find;make sure its "hung by the chimney with care..." so family will notice it there! If your family is one that asks for a Christmas "wish list," then title them, "Mr. DeeJay," Mrs. DeeJay," and "Baby DeeJay," and give all the family a copy. Don't say anything-let them catch on by themselves! Then get the camera out!
Good Luck!

I'm actually in this situation myself and for Christmas, I got cards made to send out to people with the ultrasound picture of the babies along with mine and my husband's faces in the corners. At the bottom of the picture it askes the following question: "What do you think our babies are going to look like?"

My husband and I always joked that when we got pregnant we were going to make a sign that said "grandmas daycare" because my mom is going to babysit when I go back to work after our baby is born. We couldn't wait so we just told them after the doctors appointment, and they kinda guessed before we could tell them. Congratulations.

I know there are first christmas stuff for babies, do they have any christmas cards specifically for grandparents. Are you far enough along to know the sex and do you have a name. You can put your names and the babies on the christmas cards or gifts.
