the pogues with shane macgowan as the lead singer (1983 -1990)
spider stacey took over lead vocals on the last 2 records 1991, 1993. they just weren't the same without shane. for those who don't know the pogues, they had a traditional irish sound with a more modern feel. check out the songs

I would have to say Journey & Bon Jovi are my two most favorite,because i mostly grew up listening to there music=D
and the Beatles,too..But i think there way before the 80's lol

Black Flag, most influential American punk band of that time. Started the west coast punk scene and also (at least in my opinion) started the American Hardcore punk revolution.
