You are already on the way to helping him by caring.Let him know you are there for him. Spend time LISTENING to him. If he feels like talking.Don't give advice.Offer to help him with chores at home. Take him some prepared food. He'll just need you around to let him know you are a true friend.Maybe he'll need a lift to the hospital. The most important thing is don't turn away, even if he takes some anger out on you. He has to be very stressed right now. Good Luck

you're already helping him by being there. be by his side. he should see that you are there for him. may not be right now, but he will see. he may see right now, but it's not a good time to think about more. definitely continue to be there. act like his mother. no pun. what i mean is you gotta think "what would a mom do if she saw her child down". sometimes that's all we need. someone to talk to, someone to give us a true sense of peace, someone real, etc.. keep doing what you do. PRAY for him. PRAY with him. you may even go to church together. we search so much, and look to everyone for answers or whatever, but we eventually realize clearly that God was/is/will be the answer the whole time. keep doing what you do.

There's not much you can do but offer help in any way and let him know that you'll be with him until it's all over. Also let him know how loved he is by all of his friends. I hope everything works out well!!
