It is your responsibility to report the situation, she is not trustworthy.Let the chips fall where they may or you might be implicated in her indiscretions.
Don't confront her,or she will drag you down with her,and accuse you of "sexual harrasment"..you don't want that tag..women who like to climb ladders in a company love to use that as a way of achieving higher success, and use you to do it .
Don't get caught up in her lying world by trying to be a nice guy.
Nice guys finish last.

Report her. If she is stealing from the company she is stealing from everyone there. Pregnancy is not a reason to look the other way. She knew the risk she was taking before she did it and she chose to take the chance. Now you need to chose not to allow her to get away with it.You will also lose the respect of your co -workers if they can't depend on you to do the right thing.Good Luck

Being pregnant is no reason to steal and you are in a position of responsibility and you must report her because other people know what she did and the incident was reported to you. If you do not report the incident, you could also be fired yourself.

Everyone has a concious. you should talk to her personally and tell warn her to not do it again. if you report her and get her fired she will have a hard time and others will think poorly of you and see you as cold hearted. if you take the matter and deal with it yourself instead of reporting it you will be seen as a person with a heart but make sure you give her a strict warning so that you are not seen as a person who can let things go.

When others ask you what happened, make sure to tell them that you made it perfectly clear that it was not of pity why you did not report her, but because she is of value and would cost more to fire her than to keep her after that one incident.

This is quite the dilemma. I guess you need to think about your morals, and your loyalty to your friend. Also, can it be proven that your friend did in fact steal from the company? I mean, is it really true? If so, can this be reversed somehow? After you think about that, think about this: What if your friend DID in fact steal from the company, and you didn't report it....and the boss finds out that YOU KNEW about it and didn't report it. What would happen then? Also, how good of friends are you? Are you really good friends? Just a "work friend" that you don't communicate with out of work? Think of what is most important to you - your loyalty to your friend, or being 100% for the company? This is quite the pickle. Good luck!

I'm not sure what I would have done in your situation... One thing is for sure though, If I was going to report someone and potentially cause them to lose their job, I think I would have done a little more research before I made the decision. There are ways of obtaining a free criminal background check online and I think I definitely would have done a little bit of legwork just to see what kind of things that they may or may not have been involved in in the past.

2 coworkers already know. You can get fired for playing favorites and not reporting theft that has been brought to your attention. You already dont deserve the promotion if you have to ask.

Make her confess ,, or tell her it is your responsibility to report her.. then I would ask her WHY??? If it has been an ongoing thing,, then she is not worthy to be an employee,,if it is because she has fallen on hard times,, that is still no excuse,, but it would be better to get her some help too..

When I started reading you question, I was thinking, blackmail her into having sex with you and then report her, but the pregnancy thing just ruins that part. Well just report her anyway, cuz remember, its your ***... . the only way to be successfull in life is to put yourself on top of the list. you are top priority baby.

Yes you should report her. It is the right thing to do. If she were so dependent on her income she shouldn't have stolen
