It doesn't matter what others think. You can make your own decisions as to weather or not you think it's too early or not to put up your Christmas tree/decorations.

Personally... I love Christmas and so do millions of other people out there. Who waits last minute to put up there tree? In our family, our tradition is to put the Christmas tree up and to decorate it the day after Thanksgiving and that's what we do each year although we're not big at putting up Xmas decorations around the apartment or anything. If we had a house, it wouldn't be different but we don't.

I'm 21 years old and already have my Christmas cards/gifts ready. I still have a few gifts to buy but other than that... I'm ready for Santa to be here. December is almost here. Never wait last minute for Christmas stuff. Get your stuff done early so it's not to stressful around Christmas and so you can enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas day! Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Don't worry about the comments; if you want to go ahead and do your Christmas stuff, more power to you. There is no set time as to when you can do this. Many people, including myself, start putting up the decorations before Thanksgiving and burning the lights beginning on Thanksgiving night. Bah, humbug! to the ones who think it is too early.

You could write all your cards, but not send or give them to people yet. Prepare your tree and keep it in a guest room or somewhere out of sight, then you can move it into sight around the 13th Dec and back down around the 7th Jan (12 days before & 12 days after.) Wrap the presents ready, but hide them so there easy to put out when the time is right.

Thanksgiving is over so let the Christmas season begin! No it is not too early, the stores are gearing up for the hoplidays, heck most stores have had decorations up for months! Radio stations are playing Christmas music, I say go for ti, and don't worry what other people say.
Get your cards done now so you don't have to stress about them later.

I believe that once Thanksgiving is over it is time to start working on Christmas. Usually my tree is up the night of Thanksgiving or the day after. Unfortunately I have gone back to college and was overloaded with homework this week so I have not done mine yet but hopefully can start working on it tomorrow.

No way is it to early. They have Christmas decorations up all over the city and playing Christmas songs on the radio as well as in malls. I say go for it! I am decorating tomorrow and getting my tree!

No it's not too early. A lot of people do it the day after Thanksgiving. I think it's a beautiful time and the sooner the better.

Well, my holiday is 3 days before Xmas, so I need the extra time to get cracking on my Yule party, gifts, etc. However, I definitely think even THINKING about the winter holidays before Thanksgiving is ridiculous, and merely fosters the materialism society demands of us.
