How to you create your own search engine?

I am trying to make extra money for college so I can up with an idea to create my own ppc search engine website I am new to the web so how can you do that. Any help will be appreciated

i think it is funny that after almost a half hour of your question nobody has answer. i noticed it when you first asked and i marked it to follow up late to see if anybody would come up with a smart answer. but i guess that they didn't. maybe is because they don't know (neither do I by the way). or because they cough on to the point that you are new to the web and maybe should start by learning hot to use it properly and how it works before you start wondering about how to be part of it by creating a web site. have you even thought of the legality of it. the amount of hardware that you would need to support a search engine that would be a quarter as fast as the ones such as yahoo. (which by the way is a multy billion dollars company, thats how the support their website). or the security needed so some pervert wont hack into your website and useit for something illegal that you would have to deal with.

way out of your league i think...

but maybe i am wrong. if you do find out come back to this question find my screen name here and mail me the answer. i would love to know...
