flowmasters are good, but overpriced. I've had some turbo mufflers, probably from Thrush, on my caprice for about 3 years now with no problems, and they make it sound pretty nice. Mellow at low speeds, and scream when you stand on it. They are only about $20 each or less, so very afordable. I live up north, and they aren't even rusty yet, so they seem to hold up to salt pretty well too.

Glass packs sound cool yet scream "howdy the 1970's are returned", they burn out quickly, and desire alternative, yet are much less costly. The Flowmasters are geared up like a TANK ! For that healthful, throaty sound of the 302, i might basically run the unique 40 sequence, 2 chamber Flowmasters, some issues basically circulate nicely mutually, peanut butter and jelly, purple Floyd and Quaaludes, Flowmasters and the Ford 302, all of us that tells you "it does not sound sturdy", is basically annoyed that their vehicle does not sound like yours. while a 302 is going previous with Flowmasters on it, heads turn, i do no longer care what all of us say's, you will discover it take place !

Flowmasters; nice rumble, but not obnoxious. You don't want glasspacks on a cruiser car like that; you want a nice, mellow tone IMO.
