It's quite simple. If you really believe that homosexuality is a disease, and you want to cure it, then you need to make medical research your career, find the cure, and become famous for your hard work.

Based on what I've read so far though, scientists don't believe that homosexuality is a disease. They lean toward genetics (screwed up genes) as the cause of it.

Also, many homosexuals don't want to be homosexuals. They wish they were heterosexual. They feel cursed by their condition. That's why they don't want to come out of the closet. Others just accept the way they are, and go for it without a care in the world.

But don't let all of that stuff deter you from finding the solution (whether that be the result of a breakthrough in drugs, or a breakthrough in genetics).

Go for it. Save the world. You can do it. It might seem like a very difficult task at first, but all you need to do it take the first step, then the next, and then the next. In time, you'll be famous worldwide.

It's a choice people make and many have made the choice to turn away from it. That choice is not easy but if it has been done. Every human being ever born was the result of a female and male union so it only makes sense - it's a simple choice to go against the facts of nature - you can't naturally procreate with your own kind and guarantee reproduction of more homosexuals. Some people have chosen this lifestyle from the beginning of the human race - even in the beginning of recorded history we have record of it happening. Never have we seen these acts produce offspring or produce stronger and better humans. In fact, the opposite is true since they are prone to higher death rates due to disease and issues related to having multiple sex partners in many cases. Most became that way due to an experience where a homosexual did some inappropriate things and really drew them into this lifestyle. There is no way to control human choice. I mean you can warn people of consequences - even share your opinions - but you can't force anyone to do anything. You can't stop it anymore than you can stop HIV, sexual abuse, stealing, and other offenses. All you can really do is try to be a loving person to them and one at a time make a difference in individual lives by accepting them as persons without accepting their worldview and beliefs. Contrary to poplular thinking - more and more people are not becoming homosexual - some homosexuals are simply becoming more adamant that everyone must agree with their worldview and their belief about it or else be subject to being told that they are evil, hateful and bigots for not agreeing that there is no difference between man and woman that is more special than what they have. If procreation is not part of the definition of marriage - then you could marry yourself or an animal and it's all the same right?

Homosexuality isn't a disease. Psychologists have been attempting to 'cure' homosexuality for a century and never got anywhere. Years ago, I saw a television program where a German scientist had been experimenting with pregnant rats by torturing them with stressful situations. Later he found all the male offspring of these mothers were homosexual. His theory was that if a mother endures stress during pregnancy, there is a malformation that doesn't quite separate the male/female development. I have never heard of this as an explanation for homosexuality since, but using it as an example, the illegitimate sons of famous beauties and ordinary women in Victorian times, many of them gave birth to homosexual sons. Tight corsets and the social stigma of illegitimacy would be stressful for a start. If you are troubled by the presence of gay men, you will find the majority of gays are less danger to society than straight men.

I was just going to say before I read the rest of you're question, Why try to cure it, it's not a disease.

I still say it isn't. Along with the entire medical profession, and not all but many clergy, and I think, all scientists.

As far as the church! They killed Galeleo for saying the earth is round.

I honestly do not mean this with any disrespect to anyone's church, but historically the Catholic church usually runs a full 500 years behind most of all the rest of society.

But the Catholic church is only one example. I believe at least one pope admitted this.

May I reccomend reading "Iron John". There you will find that churches and the bible were not always against it. Or people in that time period, anyway.

Think for yourself! Don't always let other people tell you what to believe.

Believe me, you don't wanta neccasarily go where they are trying to lead you.

Hi Samunition
Do you really believe homosexuals have a corner on perversion in this world? I think nothing is to be done for people who are TRULY happy with relations of the same sex. I do think there is a difference between homosexuals(born with this preference) and sodomites(choosing and relishing the wickedness of, many times, repeatedly random gay sexual encounters). The former has no choice in what makes them happy being born homosexual, and the latter, through whatever path taken(sometimes painful and heartbreaking) who only embrace the excited, taboo, and rebellious feelings of the SEXUAL aspect of homosexuality. Come now Samunition, have you really never been 'perverse' in your own life? Have you never seen or heard of people being born with breasts as well as a penis? Do you think GOD will turn his back on something of his own creation? Please try to be less judgmental and more accepting. Peace to all.

I dont think, for the most part, it is a disease or choice. I think its a glitch in the genes. And its being handed down through genetics. I think the public needs to lighten up. No Im not gay. Just applying a little common sense.

God said all that is needed in His Word. Give a bible to each homosexual you meet. God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. This is blunt I know, but this kind of lifestyle is a choice. If we put all the homosexuals on a island, how long do you think they will remain homosexual? Choosing homosexuality means the end for them. There is one way to create another human being. There is one way to end homosexuality - either you stop and find a mate that is opposite of your sex and be happy. Death is emanate for this continued life. Somehow or someone has unclear thoughts to choose the " alternate lifestyle. " Like God I love the person, but hate the sin.

Ok just telling this is comming from a homosexual. I may be young, 15 to be exact, but still I have a boyfriend who I love very much & plan on being with for a long time. Now, because you arent glbt (gay lesbian bisexual transsexual) then you have no right to say "What can be done to cure homosexuality." Excuse me?!? A DISEASE?!?! Uhm... hun... I dont fu*king think so... I dont want to be "cured"... im happy just the way I am... meybe not all glbt are happy... but thats because of everyone being so fu*king discrimitory... like you... what group is the lead in suicide rate? homosexuals... why? because of the discrimination... it really hurts in school being made fun of for my sexual prefernece... & why am I getting ridiculed? Because its funny? Its not... & I may pretend to ignore it... but its hard to... if nobody cared about that... then so many people would be alive today... SO MANY... but no... you assholes think its funny to make fun of us... I have cried day after day because of getting sexually harassed... it fu*king hurts... love is love... & if your not gay then we wont do anything to you... we love glbt... & thats it... we may LIKE you... but we wont do anything to you... we arent discriminating against you are we? no... I didnt think so...

its not a disease its a personal life style and if your not gay then its none of your buisness. there is absolutely nothing wrong with gay people. they are here and not going any where get over it. grow up. and dont be so insulting. how would you like it if someone just attacked your personal choosings? its not nice and you have no right to place judgement on anyone. my best friends are all almost bi-sexual. and i couldnt ask for better friends i wouldnt trade them for no one. i love them all with all of my being and their personal choosings are just that theirs. its called acceptance, love, live, learn. k thnx. bye.

it is not a disease.

it is the natural state of the earth.

roughly 10 percent of all races of man are homosexual.

and in the animal kingdom you can find roughly the same percentage of homosexual beast's.

there is nothing wrong with it except what is written in a book that was supposedly written 2000 years ago but has been edited several times since then.
