olivia was undercover for the fbi working on some extreme environmentalist case, but she came back to svu on last tuesday's episode, but apparently she saw elliot and beck (the new partner) together and she said she wasn't coming back for a while.
in real life, mariska hargitay (the actress who plays Olivia) had a baby about 3 months ago, so she was on maternity leave. i'm hoping she comes back in the next or next next episode! i miss her too!!

She was undercover on a federal case for a couple of episodes but came back saying she still needed some more time off. I think cause Dani gone that she will reappear. The actress, Mariska Hargitay, who plays Olivia was maternity leave.

I believe that Mariska Hargity took time off to have her first child. I do believe that she'll resume her duties on the show slowly but surely. I've seen several commericals which show her more and more on upcoming episodes. Hope this helps. On the show, she is under cover with the FBI workin as a hippy, but in real life she is on maternity leave.
I think shes back soon, since the commercials for this week's show has her on it.

She'll be back on Tuesday the 28th....she actually came back into the precinct last week, but didn't let Elliott see her...I like Dani very much, but she's NO MARISKA!

i think she is coming back cause the new girl seems to have quit in the last episode, so according to the TV guide she should be back this week. [11-29-06 hey who voted me thumbs down i did not say anything politically correct! ]
