they won't stop you from getting pregnant, but it might be a little harder to plan a pregnancy.

I do not think irregular periods are a determining factor in not being able to get pregnant. I think that finding out why you are irregular is the key. It could be a more serious condition that is causing you to have irregular periods. You should consult with your gynecologist. Have him/her determine whether this is a serious condition that can be treated or something minor that needs no medical treatment. Don't be afraid to ask about fertility testing or any other tests that could help give you answers. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor.

I have PCOS and I successfully had a baby 11 month's ago. With having an irregular menstrual cycle it was extremely hard to know when I was ovulating and those predictor tests did not help in my case. My OB prescribe Clomid with a combination of Estrogen. After the second try of clomid it work. So no, irregular periods can not stop you from being pregnant, unless, you have other medical issues.

obviously infertility means that you can't become pregnant, but it also says that that is true in less than half the cases. Irregular periods are also known to cause unwanted births, Women who can't predict their periods have more trouble trying to be careful on certain dates. This is one of the reasons that birth control regulates the dates of a woman's period. Thus allowing the woman and the birth control's manufacturers to predict which dates you are most likely to get pregnant. Irragular periods are dependant on a lot of factors including age, health and weight of the woman.

having irregular periods would be difficult for a woman to get pregnant but not really stop because they may have anovulatory cycles or cycles without release of an egg. With this, you might not be able to fertilize and conceive a child.
