Sometimes the signs of teething can come months before a tooth breaks free. Teeth like to move up then settle down and repeat this pattern over and over till the break through. My son started the signs of teething around 11 weeks and just got his first tooth at 7 months! It can be frustrating for you both, we got a great teether for little hands (jeje vibrating teether) and that was a life saver! I would say if the bump gets bigger or really concern you see the pediatrician, that's why they are there : )Take care.

From my experience with my son, he drooled excessively, chewed his fist, and was crabby for several months before his teeth finally came in at 9 months. They say that, typically, babies get their first teeth at 6 months and they are usually the bottom two front teeth, sometimes the top two front teeth. In my son's case, they were all four front teeth at once!!! I've never heard of molars coming in.
Does your baby chew on different objects? He could have possibly scratched or irritated his gums with a sharp or abrasive surface. When the teeth finally come in, the gums will appear swollen and red just before they make their appearance. As far as your son's bump, if you feel that this is the source of his discomfort, a consulation via phone with his doctor or nurse wouldn't hurt... just to ease your worries!

My son began the first signs of teething at 3 months with the crabbiness, fist in mouth, etc. He teeth did not actually come through until 7 months, but I guess there were budding at the gums and it must of been really sore, because once the first 2 teeth came through he became less fussy and stuff. However, you should see the pediatrician just to make sure.

dont panic..some babies are born with teeth :) It is most common for them to get their first incisor (bottom) around 5-6 months, 2nd bottom incisor around 8months and so on. babys could also have bumps there but that doesnt nessearlily mean they are breaking thru anytime soon, but every baby is diffrent and im sure nothing is wrong. You may want to call the pediatrician just to make sure they arent any kids of infection back there, but i doubt that. Sounds like all the signs of teething are there! Although like i said not all babys show those signs. I didnt know my daughter had a tooth until it was like OUT and visable, she drooled alot to begin with, and showed no crankyness at all. One day she bit me, and i was like "whoa where did that come from" if it makes it easier, and dont use it excessivly, before bed give your baby a little tylanol to ease any teething pain he may be experiencing, and call the doctor to ask him any questions you may have. Sounds normal to me! Good luck!!

yes usually the bottom two front teeth come in first. you can tell when teeth are about to come in cuz the gums are really swellen. If your worried about it take him to the doctor. My baby got his first teeth when he was 6 mos now he's 8 mos and he has 4 on the bottom and 4 on the top and I think he's molars are starting to come in.

You don't say how old your baby is. But I will try and answer anyway. My grandson's teeth came in in sets of 2 at a time. He got back ones, side ones, still waiting on the front ones! He is now 15 months old and has all his teeth but the front. (Yes they are there, he was x-rayed).
So I guess there is no set answer on which teeth come in first.

Dont worry, from one mom to another, it can be a harrowing experience but it's normal you can put his little teethers in the fridge and then let him gum those, you can give him an ice pop, depending on his age. Just kind of let him make a mess, dont worry though, as long as he isnt pulling at his ears or vomiting.

yes, i believe your baby is teething. Those are all signs of teething, get ready for crying, i'd go out and get anything you need now to sooth him because once they start poking through he's going to let you know.
