I'm in college and i was about to leave class and this guy tells me "thats a nice jacket". I thought to myself is he gay. I dont know cause he doesnt act or look stereotypically gay but these days you never know. Do you think he's gay or was he just being nice?

A guy can't give another guy a compliment without him being gay? When did that happen? Do you have to be an asshole to be straight?

Hes just being nice. Was it a sports jacket? If it was, he might've been a fan of whoever. Dont take it that everyones gay if they like a specific part of clothing.

It sounds like he liked your jacket and without knowing more about him I can't say that makes him gay, it could be he really just made a comment about your jacket...time will tell I guess...

I think he was just being nice and going beyond the norm. He may be a brother who prefers to be positive instead of negative. And that must have been one nice jacket for hims to say that. What kind was it? :-)

some people are actually nice. Next time this happens just smile and say thank you if he was gay he probaly would have said nice (fill in body part).

Man... he was probably just being nice... take it as a compliment. Don't worry about things like that... if he was gay you would know. He probably is just outgoing like that.
