Well I do believe it is possible, but it is not wise to do so. In my belief to "bother" the dead is not something you do. When you die there is a long time before you understand what happened. One should not bother someone who is newly dead.
Now there are spirits that don't want to go away from this plane. They will move on if no one messes with them, because they will use up there energy and will have to pass. They will try to make deals for "life force". Don't mess with them. Some mediums give them some of their life force to be able to see. Not good.

No, a medium.. think of it as almost voluntary posession. The dead talk through them, not to them.
As for real, I don't know. Possibly. I know that I, for one, would never be willing to allow a spirit into my body for any reason at any time but that isn't to say other people will be bright enough.
And no, it has nothing to do with evil, demons, or anything else. They're simply people that have that ability.
Just because something is supernatural doesn't automatically mean it must come from the devil. It's amazing that people can believe in an omnipotent omnicient god, that a stick can turn into a snake, that a sea can part, in immaculate conception, water turning to wine, a man walking on water, and a man rising from the dead, but whenever anything supernatural happens or regular people have the ability to deal with that supernatural, it's suddenly immediately "evil" and must "come from the devil".
Anyone else see the logical fallacy in that?

chris j is right a medium doesn't talk to dead people, they talk to their spirit guides. The spirit guides are the ones that talk to spirits that have passed. Don't believe those people that say its demons or evil. It is very real and a true medium doesn't need to prove that to anyone.

no a clarivoyant may talk to the dead.
a medium is usually someone that the dead will talk through.
they are largely confused.
my wife happens to be a medium.
Yeah it is for real...but do not expect her to just dial up your great great grandmother. if there is a spirit in the area that has something to say it will uaually try to say it through her.

oh yeah and for thoes that call us fake. i understand. there are a lot of fakes out there. i would never pay for a medium or any spiritual assistence.
we are not in business. we do not charge people for any service.
bi it spiritual cleansing (my gift) or making peace with teh spirit world (her gift) or Tarot readings or other divinations (both)
it is free to all in our community..hell we usually cook dinner for folks too.

be cynical and skeptical of them as I did a sociology report on them and the ones contacted had very different answers or the answers could have been interpreted differently by the reader. ten years after the class was still receiving advertisements from people I never heard of.

they don't talk to the dead they channel one of satans spirits and it tells the medium that they are the dead but they are evil spirits, stay away from them and ask God the supernatural questions, not the demons! they lie!

yes, basically, mediums claim they talk to people who are dead, through a spirit guide...Are they for real, I have strong doubts...There is no proof whatsoever that they can do what they claim...My opinion is that they are phonys, con artists just like anyone claiming psychic ability...

Not they are not for real. Nor will there ever be someone that can talk to the dead. What they are talking to are demon's ( fallen angels) that have come
in disguises as someone who have passed. One day this world will understand that. And be able to see the truth that is written in the Bible................................................ Yes there is such a thing as spirits. And visitation from spirits. But it goes much deeper than that...........................................
