Trouble with a PS2 game!!!!?

Question

I was recently playing Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for the Playstation 2 and was on a challenge called The Machine Gun. I can get all the way to level 9 and passed it but nothing happens... no wrap up or next level, my character just stands there in the middle of a town and keeps standing there etc. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?!?!?!?!

sounds like it crashed.

My ps2 doesn't crash very often. (Maybe twice since I bought it on day of release). It does stuff like that when it crashes.
