Not completely blank and broken, thank Gawd....but for a pretty large part. (but hey, I'm working hard everyday on getting out of this situation, so there's hope!)
Oops, forgot to answer the second part of your question : yes, I pretend to be okay when I get out of the house, for two reasons.
First of all a lot of people, however well-willing, don't understand what you mean when you say you're not doing too well "mentally" (which by NO means the same as being mentally impared)....and it makes them feel uncomfortable being with you.
Why do that to other people?? So I don't.
Secondly, I've found that if "I" seem okay, other people feel happy too, and it often results in us having a far better time than I would have dared hope for! So pretending to be happy sure has it's advantages, in the good sense of the word.

sure am, I don't want to be pitied, so i try not to act pitiful.
but it sucks a lot of the time. I spend too much time on the pc when i get like that. It is better to be out with people, but it is also the hardest thing to make yourself do.
I do feel blank, broken, and just plain miserable right now.
But I do pretend and fake it
I only hope that I can fake it till i make it.

Not recently, but I've been there. I felt like such a fake, it became very hard to keep up the charade. Had to make some serious changes in my life, open up to my family. It would have destroyed me otherwise.

Yes. There's only certain people that I let into my personal life. And I never take my personal life to work with me.

I am guilty of this...
I put on a happy face or the sake of my kids.
But things can only get better from here on out, right?
Good luck.
