Meditation is good. There are many different kinds - the types which concentrate on focusing the mind (on a candle, on visualisation of flower etc.), the types which concentrate on emptying the mind, the types which help you focus on your body's energy flows, and improving that, and Tai Qi as well as being a form of exercise, is a way of meditating, being aware of your body, and flow of the movements. Meditation helps you to find your centre, and achieve balance. It can help you to connect and focus your body and mind together. It's always a good thing, but you have to take it seriously, or you're wasting your time.

Yes i meditate and it works wonders so if you have never given it ago what are you waiting for.

Some key points to remember when meditating thought:-
1) Turn off any distractions ie phone / mobile / tv and if you dont live alone make sure you ask that your not disturbed for the next hour.

2) Light a few candles so that your be meditating in just candle light. This is great to help you relax and unwind.

3) You could also buy some incence cones or sticks and light one so that the fragrance fills the air. This also aids in your relaxation.

4) Find a comfortable seating postion. I always suggest seating as it very easy to drift off to sleep if your laying down.

5) Play some gentle music in the background. You can buy mediation CDs. They usually dont have any words, they are just peaceful sounds and gentle music.

6) Lastly, Take several deep breaths in and out and as you do try to clear your mind of any worries etc. Try to think of yourself somewhere calm and tranquil as you begin your mediation.

Good luck x

Meditation, is taking day out out of your each and everyday life to sit down down back. there is this form of great style of distinctive varieties of meditation, i would be unable to start to describe. I Meditate on an analogous time as jogging the canine / examining a e book / while gardening you do no longer could be religious, although some religions instruct a sort of meditation the place you stay silent and nonetheless and attempt to be at one with nature. in case you go with to adventure meditation, then why don't you attempt burning a scented candle sitting comfortably, and thinking approximately issues with your eyes closed?

I also agree that Yoga does wonders. It relaxes the body as well as the mind. I practice both Yoga and Mantra Meditation (not silent). I have done this for many years and the results are just amazing. I used to be depressed, angry... Now I am a calmer person, easy going... It has changed my life for the better.

Yes I meditate to relax. But more than that I meditate to clear my mind of past stress. A clear mind is a wonderful thing. You can multitask with ease. Creative ideas flow. Your health improves. There are more benefits but I don't want to take up 200 pages of thoughts. Find one that works for you.

I lie down, or read a book, or look at trees, or pet my dog. I sometimes just meditate by keeping my eyes closed and doing breathing exercises, sometimes praying.

Books, rest, nature, pets, prayer. Research has shown that engaging in any of these things lowers blood pressure and calms a person down.
