There are tribes who practice the art of deliberatly setting up their dreams. You can too. I've done it on occasion as well.

Here's what you have to do: When you lay down, fill your mind with good memories. Continue your focus of these memories and happy thoughts as your mind settles down. Your mind will continue to slow down and you will slip into REM sleep while these parts of your brain are firing.

Best wishes at this. Sounds like you and your dad could really use some nice dreams. Maybe the night of your pain is about over now and the grieving will soon be past.

Psa 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his fauour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but ioy commeth in the morning.

Face reality. You know no one here can say or do anything to make you have that dream again.Your memories with your mom should be good enough to where you should not want to dream about the past.Think back on how holidays was with you,her and your dad.Think of real stuff from the pass.Dont wish for a dream because a dream is not true but memories from the past is true.

I dont know how you can have a continuation of your dream, but i believe the dream you have was a gift from God to let you have some peace in your life about your parents by putting you in the mindset of when you were younger and everything was perfect. I love those kinds of dreams and I hope you get another one, but I dont know exactly how to make it happen. I was just skimming through all of the questions and this one caught my eye. good luck!

I personally think that when we go to bed thinking of something that bothers us or something that we have to do the next day, that's when we dream of it. Maybe if you go to bed thinking of your parents and all the good times you had together you'll probably dream about them. I really wish you do. God bless.

you cant live in a fantasy world forever.....i am very sorry you feel you can only be happy in your dreams.....
the best advice i could give you for a repeat performance is just to keep thinking about it especially as you are falling asleep almost meditatively....
you should take strength from you dream though and get stronger

maybe this was a sign that your parents are going to be together again soon. and this was a way that your mom was telling you that everything will be ok.
