Sept 11th the original day.
I had a woke from crying myself to sleep to find the TV "on" and the world coming to an "end". I thought it was as "bad TV movie" and then it was on every station. I was in shock.
I watched the chaos on TV in disbelief. Then moments later I heard overhead the Fighter jets taking off and flying in 4minute cycles over my house. I called my MOM, my husband and told them I loved them. Then proceeded to take another sleeping pill and go back to sleep.
My husband rushed home and reassured me that the world was not coming to an end, it was just New York that was attacked and the country is in a panic and to stay home an it would be okay, just leave the TV off. He was trying to shield me from the reality of the other two attacks and the super obvious thing, that we are a huge target for terrorist. Hometown to the President, a huge target!
You see I was laying in bed recovering from just loosing my first born son (child) and surgery. He died on Sept 9th and I almost followed him drowning in despair. I watched with a greater understanding the extremity of the loss of love that each innocent and brave person had just been desolved into ashes. Just as my child had at ironically a the same time he was being cremated in my home town.
So it was my belief that all those humans that day became angels and my son is with them.
I have since recovered, yet 9/11 is not for me, the same as the rest ot the country. I'm sure.
Not to deminish that event, yet I was in a seriously drug induced obsvation of the tv and my mind kept telling me I was watching the birth of the phoenix.
Just two years ago, we did scatter some ashes off of Staten Island. It really helped with the closure. We took our second son with us. It was my first trip to New York.
Bless all of those people effected by all the horrible events of that day.
This sounds terribly sad and it really was just that bad. Yet the reality IS "this too shall pass" and we its our job to never forget of what we are made of and believe that life is just incredible and so very temporary.

i teared up a little bit....actually yeah i think i did cry...but it was because my 7th grade teacher's father worked in one of the towers. and she was from new york. She was crying histerically. We all started crying, and then some of the students went up to her and started hugging her. It was a really emotional moment. At first I didnt know what i was crying for, but after i saw one of the towers drop, my heart sunk. It really hit me at that point.

I cried for our world that day because I knew it would never be the same and I cried for all the innocent people of all religions and race that died in those buildings and for their families.I also cried when your President desecrated their memory by starting an unjust war in their names shame on you George they deserved so much better.
