Canadian Band of Brothers?

I LOVE 'Band of Brothers' and am in the middle of watching it through again, I thought I had heard that there was sort of a Canadian version, it may have been just interviews with the veterans but I was wondering if anyone else had heard of this and what it is called if there is such a thing? Thanks!

There is going to be a movie about the battle of Passchendael, I think. There is also going to be a reality show where descendents of Great War vets experience life in the trenches etc.
