Does the IPOD shuffle always play random songs, or can you manually go from one song to the next? In other words, is it always on a random shuffle cycle?

there is 2 types of play.. one is in order that they are in when u put in the songs on iTunes.. the other is totally random order.. so for your questions.

Q:can you manually go from one song to the next?
A:Yes

THere are two play modes.. that u have to click into.. on the back of the shuffle... the top one is to turn it off the 2nd click is order and the bottom click is for it to play random..

nope u can play ur songs in order : read up :> Shuffle switch
