A Jack Dempsey (?spelling) would be a nice fish that I think would get along well or an Oscar. By all means stay away from a Paku, they grow huge and tend to kill off any other fish that they house with.

impressive answer from Gary. i'd in no way propose a a million gallon, or 5 gallon for ANY fish/ you will no longer have an lively betta, nor will your betta be allowed to precise any organic fish behaviour. A single male betta would do extra effective in a 10 gallon, i'd propose a 20 or 30 gallon for 2 Betta fish (and if the two are Betta, could be lady/lady.....Having 2 men in a tank alongside with no take separator could be deadly.

You may wanna do it up like a Community tank (assorted fish), keeping in mind to avoid the aggressive fish. Decorate it with lotsa live plants like the amazons etc., some good driftwood and rocks and put in lotsa neon tetras, a red-tail shark, also try Discus (dey do good when there are lotsa plants), silver sharks, angel fish, fintail mollies, clown loaches, elephant nose, black ghosts.

I live in Qatar now and I've set up this huge aquarium and it looks awesome with more than 50 different fish and variety of live plants. Feel free to email me should you require any further details.

That depends on what sort of catfish you have and what size tank you have them in. 4 goldfish would need to be in a 55g atleast, and thats not taking into account the catfish. Edit your post to include tank size so we can help you more

How big is the tank.

If big enough add a tiger fish. Ask the store keeper about it also, some fish fight to death or eat the other. Make sure he knows the size of the tank.
