Some women take only a couple of months after getting off the pill (me) and some take a year or longer (my friend). Don't freak out.
It's been my observation that couples who've been trying for a long time usually get pregnant AFTER they give up trying and just have sex when they feel like it.

first of all, you cant really compare your body to other women, considering everyone is diffrent. I was pregnant months before i had any signs of it, i was as if i wasnt pregnant until i started showing and then the back started to hurt, You have to understand that in reality there is only a 3 day window to get pregnant each month. It takes patience and alot of research on your body if you want to move things along. Speak with your doctor if you havent already and he will map out for you the days you should be TTC down to the day. I dont know if its myth or not, but i heard certain positions are better than others when trying to concieve. (i.e. you on top claims to work the best due to the position) If you dont have any results after speaking with him, im sorry but you might want to seek proffessional assistance to get tested, both you and your guy to make sure everything is working correctly, and to ease troubled worries. The proffessionals help women concieve everyday and they really know their stuff. Women can also be pregnant and have their period too ..its so hard to tell these days it seems huh?
lol. Well, good luck and i hope everything works out for you!

Many signs of early pregnancy mimic your period coming on. Most women will not experience nasea, tiredness, but breast tenderness is probably one of the first but can also seem like PMS. There are so many factors that affect one's ability to conceive. For my hubby and I about 3 months. Others I know tried for 2 years or more and ended up with miscarriages before a healthy pregnancy was established. I had one friend who tried for several years and went to a fertility specialist who provided a fertility drug and she ended up with triplets. Another friend who got on a fertility drug ended up with one miscarriage and then a healthy pregnancy and that process took about a year and a half or so. If you're going to do an over the counter pregnancy test, I recommend waiting until 2 weeks after your missed period. If you take a pre-menstral cycle early home pregnancy test - it could find a very early miscarriage and give you a false positive result. I also recommend the brands where you don't pee on a stick but use a dropper to ensure that you have the right amount of urine to test. I've had bad results about 1/3 of the time with them - both false positives and false negatives and I've tried many kinds of hpts.

Hi usually doctors will give you 12 months to conceive normally without intervening if you ar under 30. Sometimes all you need to do is not be so scheduled in you sexual time and have fun and it happens! When I was pregnant I had signs way before the stick turned blue! Good luck to you!

i conceived right away. I had a few symptoms before my missed period. I felt light headed, kind of dizzy with it. A little sick to my stomach but i thought it was the flu because it was only for a little bit. I had cramps like i was going to have my period so i thought i was going to have them and gave the dizziness no more thought. Having a baby is so special i hope you are pregnant. Good luck to you.P.S I wouldn't worry if your not pregnant it took my sister 10 months

It always happened right away for us, but that is not very common a year adveradge is normal. But seeing your OB for a pre pregnancy apt. is a good idea, it will reassure you thst you are able to concieve without outside help. Good Luck!

I have had friends that tried for up to a year before conceiving. If you haven't done so yet I would recommend that you make an appointment with a gynecologist to have an infertility consult. They can run tests to check your hormone levels and your husbands sperm count. Good Luck!

8 months is totally normal. Just keep trying. The older you get the longer between conception months. I didn't ovulate for months, then after I had my son and didn't need to ovulate anymore, I was ovulating like clock work.
Just do your part and relax. It will happen when it will happen, not when you want it to happen. Good luck.

It takes an AVERAGE of a year to conceive. That means that some people take less, but many take even more time than that.
