Because some people don't know any better, but you really don't want to associate with those kind anyway. My uncles like that, he has long hair, tatoos everywhere & looks like a Hells Angel but hes a puppy dog & so are all of his biker friends .

I dont know WHY...but I will say that statistically speaking, attractive people are more likely to be more successful in life. Attractive people "look" more trusting, and healthy. Even though we all know this isn't always true. I think it's a failed attempt at survival.

Because we're programmed naturally to look for symmetry in faces. This is naturally ingrained in us, not just through learning, but evolutionary wise in our genes. Symmetry shows health in subjects, a lack of disease or wasting. This in response triggers biological impulses to mate with strong genetic material. So, in essence people can't help but respond to healthy, symmetrical faces in many cases.

I don't believe one person is any better than any other based on ANY criteria.

Because this is the basic mindset of gay men today and always.
they live for the physical, the external glamour, the superficial is their god which they adore, and internal qualities of guys are considered unimportant in their scale of values.
there were psychiatrists and psychologists before Gay Lib who wrote extensively & analyzed this trait in gay men - their conclusion was that the manner in which gay men relate to each other & judge each other primarily on external facades, - while totally ignoring the spiritual, mental, interior elements of the total human being (persona) was deranged and unhealthy - They concluded that the gay mens' subculture was fundamentally disturbed in their manner of relating to each other and mentally very unhealthy & unsound.
these clinicians emphasized that while they had no problems with same-sex love between men - they - as mental health professionals - considered gay men to be seriously disturbed and abnormal in their value system and manner of relating to each other.
This body of literature is not popular today but it did exist.
those psychologists spoke the pure truth , in my opinion.
