For me, studying math for the pleasure of learning has had a spiritual side. Many times in the history of math, men and women have come across mathematical ideas that were, at the time, seemingly independent of any particular "law of nature". Later, discoveries about the relational nature of this or that physical property that had found a home in a previously discovered mathematical context. So, for me, math is where our imagination, rationality, and the creator's magic converge.

I think math is important because it use in our everyday lives. almost everything exist in numbers. Like counting numbers, street addresses, remember where you started from so you wouldn't get lost by count how many streets you've passed or houses or trees or cars etc. Its all about numbers. When you read you count the pages, paragraphs, chapters. You must remember math is only as hard as you make it, because when it all boils down, you have to add, subtract, multiply or divide to get the answer. There's know if ands or ors about it. Complex problems are only use to get you to the answers more quickly when a complex but logical problem needs to be figured out. Remember integers always take the place of real numbers no matter what the letters are a+b+c, m-n+o. But it does take a trained mind to figure it out.

Mathematics is very important. For languages, it's like learning Latin. It is infoulable and the base of all that we live in. Math is, imo, the most important subject explained in schools. You can understand the economy, the Universe, chemistry, or whatever your heart desires, just through math. Good Luck!

Yes, it's absolutely essential. Everybody has at least 1 hand-held calculator these days. I have 2 myself. Yes, they're very convenient. But I often encounter situations where I need to make quick calculations & don't have easy access to one. So, I either calculate on paper or in my head. So, basic math skills are necessary in such cases. Besides that, there's an old saying: "Use it or lose it." This certainly appies to mathematical knowledge.

It's all about getting into the habit of thinking logically. Later in life, you may not use the specific math skills you're learning now, but the ability to solve problems in an organized manner will be necessary all through your life.

It is very important that you learn at least the basics of Maths. Without math you cannot survive in this world. You could be cheated any time. The basic Math i am talking about is the daily shopping or managing of cash. Without that you will go down in this competitive world.
If you are interested in math then you can go for future studies. Otherwise it is not necessary.

in my own opinion, mathematics is important since we are living in a world that is "evolving" every millionth of a second and that we need mathematics beyond the necessary subjects of our job because in our everyday life like when a series of equation appear at your television screen, you could easily can relate to it

Math is critical in every day life. Knowing math can be a life or death decision.

In Apollo 13, they had to calculate by hand, the velocity, thrust and angle in order to successfully enter Earth's atmosphere. If they come in at too sharp of an angle, they would burn up. If they came toward earth to shallow, they would bounce off the atmosphere and into space to be lost forever.
