My understanding is that the Wii situation is nothing like the PS3 one. Nintendo has said it will keep rolling out systems as it can, with their factories running 24/7. Target had told me last week that they were expecting a shipment just this past Friday (I'm just looking for extra controllers now). I think if you can find out the shipment day of the Wii and get to the store (whichever it is) at opening that day - not crazy camping - like I did, you should be fine. I don't think the price will go down for awhile (not right after Christmas) but it is SO worth the $250. I figured I've bowled 30 games already, if bowling were only $3 a game in the real world, I would have already spent $90 plus shoe rental - and I've only owned it a week!

Anyway, happy hunting.
Best advice I have is to go into the store and talk to the electronics/games dept and see when their next shipment is (they get irritated over the phone sometimes.) I would think you shouldn't have too much trouble getting one before Christmas. =)

I waited in line 13 hours and it was worth it. I don't care if prices go down. The Wii is totally worth it. As for where to get it. There will be 4 million Wiis released world wide before next year. I am sure you can find one. But just in case you have trouble... Here are some stats. I have connections in nintendo through a friend
Best buy gets the most Wiis
followed by Circuit City
followed by Walmart and Target
in that order. So your best chance is to go to a best buy

The best stores to buy Wii--------anywhere as long as $250+tax
how long to wait---------maybe untill 2007 comes unless you get one reserved soon! no stores around me sell unless you reserved. You will be lucky to get on chistmas or before.
PS if you get the Wii, get Twilight Princess i rate it a 8 out of 10
Also the mom of boy and girl, the sale will not happen untill 6months released and drop to about 200*new, 150*used 100* dents used long time not gona last long as you think

PLEASE if you have a game question Contact me i will know 95% of the time!

Well it probably really depends on where you live.
i live in a pretty small city and I got mine at 6:00am in the mall at EBgames on black friday [go mii!] I was quite proud for waiting only 15 minutes for it while others camped out in the cold for it XD. [although that's probably a surefire way to get one.]
I suggest you to call around at nearby ebgames and gamestops. Or any other little video game store for when they'll get their next shipment of wiis. Then go really early in the morning before it opens or camp out. I asked about them at Walmart and target but they wouldn't reveal when they would be getting a shipment.

Good luck. And if it's cold and you're going to camp out.. good luck again =P.

The nintendo Wii is crap!!! they purely began a save in ideas of the "cost effectively priced" $3 hundred structures. they are going to reappear on save cabinets contained in the subsequent 6 months i'm sensible, and may want to promote for @ $2 hundred. similar for PS3 (costs $600).... ultimately the crap they promote, they are going to fix and make better useful, and promote it for much less. staying ability, learn and develope some... it really is free!!!
