I have a girl friend who has this serious problem recently. She was the only child of the family and both her parents love her alot. Her parents are also very loving towards each other. Just last Saturday, her mum had went overseas due to business trip and she was left alone with her father. While she was bathing, her father peeps at her through the opening gap of the door (It was locked though). Her father even unlocked her bedroom door while she was changing and sleeping. But his excuse was just getting something in the room. (He did take something in there though). She was so scared and dared not return home since then. She came over to my house to stay. Anyway, she dared not tell her mum when she's back on Sunday as she scare they might quarrel, or worst still, divorce because of this. Whats' the advice needed in order not to let her father did this again, and not ruin her family relationship too

This is wrong....no matter how innocent he may try to make it sound......if you need something from a room - you wait until your adolescent daughter tells you to come in.....also the whole peeping thing is disturbing.....if i was her i would mention it to my mum....if she can't talk to her own mother about this....maybe a school counsellor or someone in a trustworthy position that could help her & maybe even raise this issue with her parents. Ahich ever way you decide....it has to be raised....because men like this need help...if it wasn't your girlfirend he was doing it to - what other young girl may he target in the future?? Best of luck :)

Tell her mother. Period...
If she was scared, I'm sure she felt something wasn't right. That is enough to talk to her mom about. Always trust your instincts...
Also, if the door was locked, and he came in anyway, I think that is creepy, he could have knocked and asked first. I would definately speak to my mom. If there is nothing wrong, she won't break up anything, if there is something wrong, she owes it to herself and her mother to prevent any hard feelings going forward.

It may have been an innocent mistake or.... either way if you tell him that you did not appreciate the intrusion he'll know that from this point on. If it was a mistake he'll be more careful and if it wasn't a mistake hopefully it will be his wake up call.

She is going to have to tell her father directly that she does not appreciate what he did. Furthermore, if it ever happens again, she will tell her mother and the authorities. He will deny everything, but he will get the message. And tell her to lock the bathroom and bedroom doors. Filthy old bastard.

if she felt threatend or scraed she needs to tell her mom. even if they do argue or end up getting a divorce would she want it to happen again to here daughter or let alona anyone else/ she needs to tell her. you should go with her for moral support becasue she seems really distraught. i would be too. this is an important situation and it needs to be evaluated..quickly! i hope everyhting works out for you. good luck.

Have her tell that loser the next time he does something like that, hey im changing DO NOT come in here.....make it clear that its unwanted for him to be in there while she is bathing or changing or whatever.....and if he tries to touch her, stab him in the eye with a pencil.

You don't say how old your friend is.
Depending on her age she should confront her father and ask him exactly what he was doing? She should tell him she's going to confide in her mom....then she should do that.
What happens in their marriage isn't her responsibility.

I think your gf should be frank to her father and supposed, she should confront her father personally by asking questions such as this..
"Are you trying to peep on me dad?"
"Are you attracted to your own flesh & blood?"
