Personal preference is the best way to answer that one.

What your personal preferences are is deemed by your life--things that have happened to you or around you, people around you and their preferences, etc. What you grew up around also plays a loud roll in your personal preferences.

Hope that helped!!

There are many theories on how we get our likes and dislikes. The most common is that we like the familiar. Our environment conditions us and then our emotions from within tell us if that is a like or not. For example grandma always baked apple pie on Sundays, so her house smelled of apple pie when you went there for lunch. You are out shopping and someone sprayed an air freshener that smelled like apples. That evoked a nostalgic feeling and you decided that you liked the air freshener and bought it.
There is a book about this called, "Emotional Design: Why we love (or hate) everyday things." Its written by, Donald A Norman.

It's just an emotion, not much of a difference, cause you like or hate something because of the reflection of senses
