Did some just seriously tell this girl to go to the doctor because she started her period? There's clots, it's gross, get used to it for the rest of your life (well, until you hit menopause, then the hot flashes start!) Sometimes it'll be heavy, sometimes it'll be light.. Sometimes there will be clots.. sometimes it lasts for a week or even longer depending on YOU.. Just tell your mom to get you some supplies!

See your Gyn as soon as possible about this problem.

I went through that in my late 20's. I started out as you did and it eventually went to bleeding all the time.
My Gyn told me it was a hormonal imbalance and I was bleeding constantly because I don't ovulate. She put me on the pill to stop the bleeding and get me regulated.

Gotta go see the doc I am afraid.
You may need a Rx to help you get your periods regulated again.
Your hemoglobin can also decrease making you exhausted and eventually very ILL.
AND you sound miserable.
Feel better.

Something similar happened to me...you should see a doc ASAP! They will check you out and make sure you are not hemorrhaging.

Maybe you are going through menopause.
