Sounds like the bra may be to small for you, or you just have the straps adjusted to short. Start by lengthening them, the back of your bra should be at the same level or slightly lower than the front, with very little pressure on your shoulders. The straps should be just snug enough that they don't slid off.
If this doesn't solve the problem, then you need to have a fitting. Go to a lingerer store, or up-scale department store and ask one of the ladies to help you determine the correct size for you.

2 things you can do...either loosen the straps a little bit OR you need a bigger sized bra cause if theyre making marks, its a clear sign that you have the wrong size bra which is quite common. 95% of women get the wrong size bra. get measured next time you go to the store

Get a widestrap bra, or a bra that supports you better. Go get a professional fitting at a department store.
