Am I the only one upset by the prospect that Marcus may be traded this year?

Marcus Giles is definitely a fan favorite in Atlanta. I'd be disappointed if the Braves did trade him, but trades are a part of the game; not many players today can say they've spent their entire careers with one team. Atlanta needs a leadoff hitter, and Giles has already voiced his dislike for hitting leadoff, but no one on the team has Giles's hitting ability; he did his best hitting behind Rafael Furcal and Atlanta had no one like Furcal in 2006; that's why Giles had a mediocre .262 average.
I don't want to see Giles get traded, but if it helps the team, it's a sacrifice that has to be made.

The Braves have had such an amazing run. It was sad to see the streak end at 14 consecutive seasons :(
I hate the Mets!
As for Marcus, he's one of the best "little guys" to watch around. I would be nice for him to stay and stay a Brave for life. If he goes, I'm sure Bobby will find the best possible player to fill the void. Bobby Cox is one of the best managers ever!
BTW Don't expect much from Willy Aybar. I think Wilson Betemit is way better than Aybar. I apologize on behalf of all Dodger fans especially for how Baez got hurt after that trade...

It would be a stupid move but if they have someone waiting in the farm system to take over and they think he is ready, why not and see how it works. If you do trade him, the Braves better get something good in return.
