I use different color lights when I decorate my yard and of course one of my snotty friends has to say that she thinks that clear, white lights look more classy. What do you think?

I think combination of both looks best .....
Use white for icicle style lights hanging from gutters. Then multi-colered lights arounds windows, trees, fences, etc.

BORING! Tell her to get a life. Colored! They're more Christmasy! She's not in the Christmas spirit by saying that. Christmas isn't about being CLASSY! But you should use what you want. I use the white lights in my doorway because that looks better in there and it's what we have, and the colored on top of my garage. But I'd prefer colored all around.

I agree that white is classy albeit plain. I always go for colored. They have solid colors too. The blue are very peaceful, for outside of course. And how about the new colored icicles? Those are great too. Any lights look nice.

Both ! Here's How; (And How!) Set up Your White Lights, then go to http://www.sciplus.com and Click on the "Optics" Category on the Left of the Page, once You get that part of the Page to come up. Then, get the right size Prism, maybe the Big One that's filled with Water, to Spread and Diffuse the White Light into the Coolest Colored Light anywhere !

I use clear lights. When I have kids I will use color lights though because they are more fun. For now though I like the way the clear lights look.

Clear and white lights do look more classy, but that is just my opinion, and based on where I live. It might be different in other areas.

Have you ever driven around at night before
Christmas and looked at the lights? The wealthy may have more lights and lawn decorations, but you will find a varity of lights all over town. People have different tastes.

I thnk your snotty friend needs to shut up x-mas has many colors and every one likes to look at all the pretty colors too. also just because something is white does not mean it classy.
