One of my favorite employees was a black college student. He came in to see me 4 times before I had a job opening. My advice to you is always look your best dressed, in nice slacks, dress shoes, and dress shirt, use your best manners and grammar, and be persistant by going back to the places where you have applied that you think you would like to work at. Ask about the application you turned in as you would like to make sure they still have it on file. Please do not think it is necessarily a skin thing, as other factors are taken into consideration as well. As you wrote, you will push it and will never give up, and that will be the key to your success.I am a person of color also, so I am not judging you by any means. God Bless.

It sounds like you have all the qualifications to be a good employee. If you feel that some businesses have not hired you because of your skin color, it is their loss, not yours. You don't want to be stuck somewhere where you are uncomfortable because you work with jerks. Don't give up, just keep looking for the right job for you, where you can advance and enjoy your work and the business gives you the credit you've earned. Don't settle for less. Do you have any work experience? Getting started can be hard.

I agree 100% with you, but what I like the most of your question, is the fact that you say, I'm still going to push it and never give up. Excellent attitude, I feel you will make it, because you have a commitment on what you want to do. God bless you my friend.

I agree that it stinks and you hopfully will continue to try to progress thru the dirt of the racists.
Good luck to you.
I believe you should get together and not buy goods and services from racist companies. It really will work. While they like beingm racist, they love money more.

I don't hate anyone. It is true that some of what you have stated is correct but with God as our anchor, we can do all things thru Christ who strenthens us. Never give up. Just as God has His angels, the devil has his as well. So don't allow the devil or his imps make you give up on any dream you may have. Begin to pray and ask for God's Will to be done. May be it is not God's Will for you to be in an environment that would only cause you harm. The Word of God says that we are to love every one. So don't allow others to make you stoop to their level. Even the ones you feel are profiling you. Love them and continue on. You don't have to give an account to God for the way others treat you. You have to give an account for the way you treat them. May God Bless

I think all racism is based on stereotyping others. I mean I greatly respect many black people who deserve the respect, but there are the ones that I wish not to associate with. It's intelligent people that can decifer in their own mind that not all black people are the same. People are dumb in my mind if they think all black people are useless and dumb. I know there are black people out there wayy better than anyone I have ever known.

Hello.
I think you seem like a very strong, great and determined person.
Don't let it get to you.
People are jerks sometimes, but it's not your problem.
You are beautiful the way that God made you.
Don't worry about what other people think or say.
Pursue everything to the fullest.
Don't let your nationality hold you back from achieving!
Good luck!

I don't hate anyone, ever.
Everyone creates the reality they live in, whether they mean to or not; the more unconcious they are, the more their undirected mind creates it for them.
How can we be so sure what someone's motivation is? The mind is invisible & colorless - that's where motivation lies hidden.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly, my friend.
Good Luck !

those who are racist are those who are not educated.
I was raised to be racist against blacks....but as I aged and learned about the blacks, what MLKing was really saying, etc. I am no longer racist nor see that "bad image" that was put into my eyes as a child.
just remember ignorance breeds ignorance so never assume its you, its always them.
