I studied zoology at James Cook University, Townsville, Queensland and had a great time. It has quite a number of international students from around the world so you would feel at home. The lecturers are top in their fields and the surrounding environment with World Heritage listed rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef as a class room means you can't go wrong.
Stick at it, complete a PHD (lots of competition for the few jobs!) and the world is yours.

Michigan State University had a nice program in Zoology. I have a degree with a zoology from there. And it's a beautiful campus, but I must tell you, it gets cold in the winter. But the faculty is superior. You will not be disappointed. And they also have their own Vet school, if you want to earn a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Not many universities have that. So think long range.
