So, I was born flat footed (what a joy) and my arches are flat so i don'y have a good pointed foot and all of my teachers say, " Work on your pointe" and i say ok. well i dont know any good exercises i have tried "molding" them with my hands and a Therband and nothing works i may have to result to a machine that cost about 300 dollars and i just want to try some other ways first. This could really help me out so please??

OK if you sit on the floor and put your feet out in front of you then bend forward and point as much as you can and as your pointing push on the tops of your feet one at a time it may hurt at first but it works great this is what my dance teacher suggested at it works!!!!!!

In addition to everything you do or consider doing, you should wear orthopedic insoles in your shoes. They will make your foot build muscles that are supposed to create the arch. Your feet (and legs!) will develop totally different habits of how to walk and stand. Nice bonus is improved turnout. Also, here is a good exercise. Put a towel on the floor. Put your bare foot on in. With ankle on the floor, use your toes to scrunch the towel underneath your foot.

I'm flat-footed too, and I used to wear shoes that have bulit-in arches in them to "form" arches on my foot until it got used to it. You probably need those custom-made orthopedic shoes.
