That the Homework Help section is becoming more of a place for kids to get OTHER people to do their homework for them? What the heck? Some of them want people to do entire book reports for them. Am I the only one who is annoyed by this, or am I just turning into an old biddy who's bitter that she had to do her OWN homework?

Hi Rebecca,
Everyone is forgetting, there is a category on here called Homework Help.
While I don't believe in doing children's homework, I believe in helping them.
After all I did the same for my daughter when she was young.
I will often give them some links and suggest they do their own reading and draw their own conclusions.
But you are right in that some posters ask for a ridiculous amount of work on the respondents part.
Those are the ones that are annoying.
Homework has surely changed; I recall wading through page after page of very old encyclopedias and cutting pictures out of magazines when I was young.
Ahhh the age of technology, kids are being smart and taking full advantage!!

I've noticed an awful lot of very, very general questions saying, "I need to know about {subject} for a book report! Help!?" and it's ridiculous! It's called "google". Learn how to use it!

Never let down your standards. If you begin cheating and plagarizing like some of your classmates, you will never learn anything, and someday it may cost someone their life. You may have to make a very crucial decision based on what you have researched and learned. If it is a flawed decision, it may affect someones life.

Same question I asked yesterday. I don't answer students' questions. I figure they can do their own assignments & I don't consider this to be "another source." I feel the same way you do.

nope what you do is when they want you to do all their home work is do it but give the wrong answer...the kid who cut and pasted my 1500 word essay on the American revolution i suspect is currently expelled
