Heather WHOA be nice. She's 14 and a little scared no need to snap at her. Hun I wouldn't worry i started my period at 10 years old and i am 18 and i still have irregular periods. Sometimes you will be late and sometimes it'll come early. I wouldn't worry about it expecially since you are a virgin. Don't worry hun you're fine.

You are young! For most people, periods are pretty irregular the first couple years. On top of that, some of us are just irregular. I never bothered keeping track, because I knew it was going to be a different week in every month. If you are still a virgin, there is no need to worry! Just keep it that way!

First of all, if you never had sex, you cannot be pregnant, so don't worry about that. Second, when you first start your period you can be irregular. You may go for a month or two and not have a period and then have several in a row and miss a month or two again. Your body will regulate itself and you should start having a regular monthly.

All this is very normal. Be patient, it will eventualy sort it's self out.
My periods were all over the place when they first started. Eventually they decieded they would be 2weeks long, every month. (My mother's were the same)
But it is very common for them to stop and start whenever they like!

One thing i learnt was to always carry a spare pad/ liner or even tampon (which ever your comfortable with) in my bag just in case!
You know the little zipper (secret pocket) on the inside of handbags...thats what there made for!

Good Luck !

When I was around your age and still a virgin I once didnt have my period for 6 months. I was scard too until I told my mom. The day after I told her I had my period. Its probably just stress. I know my was. you should ask your mom how her period was when she was young. And if this is your 2nd period then just wait it out. It sounds like nothings wrong. If your really scared ask to go to the doctor to check it out. Good luck hun!

I wouldn't worry about it too much...my sister didn't start her period until she was 16 and then it wasn't very regular. She would have it one month and not again for two months. She as well was not sexually active....your body should regulate itself with time. If a year goes by and it is still messed up I would suggest talking to your parents about it and possibly your doctor just to get thing regular....but don't be too concerned it is normal.

It's absolutely normal; it takes a while before your periods are really regular. Additionally, a normal woman's cycle may vary from between 21 - 35 days, although again, it will be a while before you figure out what is normal for you.

Your periods might be irregular for the first year, it's nothing to worry about tho. Talk to your mom or doctor if it will make you feel better.

when you are new to womanhood, you are not regular at first. proof of this is that your last period only lasted about 3 days when it should have been 5-7 days. wheres your mama, you should ask her these questions
