Going against socially acceptable norms- such as:

1. Why do we all face toward the door when we get into an elevator?
2. Why do we NOT stare at weird people?
3. What would happen if someone laughed in a serious movie, such as Schindler's List?
4. Why do some people find other things acceptable, and others don't?

Sociology is all about people interacting as a society. What makes these "unwritten rules" so unacceptable? Nature vs. Nurture could play a big part in this.
How you could organize your paper would be the following:
Introduction paragraph, Experiments/scenarios (such as the ones listed above) or "social norms", and then you could analyze possible solutions to the scenarios. Then your concluding paragraph, wrapping up whatever your main points are.

I hope that helps- I know it's not always an easy thing when you have NOTHING to go on.

i think of there substitute right into a quite nasty war of words between Newton and Leibniz over who substitute into the real inventor of calculus. between the greater important disagreements in math history, i could think of. Or check out Evariste Galois, who led an exciting teenage life of political riot and died on the age of 20 in a duel (over a woman, i think of). The scribbles he left in the back of shaped the muse of a sparkling variety of algebra called Galois thought. you could not get lots greater badass than that.

You could find past societal experiments and analyze the results, or study societal interactions.
