In 1348 almost half of all Europe was wiped out by a widespread outbreak of Bubonic Plague. It became known as the Black Death. Heres a link, check it out. Way more people died than in the Holocaust or any other single event in the History of Mankind. More Americans died during the Civil War than any other time in the history of the US. Not near as many died during 9/11. And more Americans died at Pearl Harbor than did during 9/11. Lets keep our history in perspective and not relegate more importance on those events which are freshest in our minds.
