How do you get along with psychotic people?

I find it's best to ignore them... then whilst they're busy being mental somewhere else, get them commited to an asylum... preferably one with rubber rooms. they like it there...

Usually with a lot of humor. If they are truly psychotic, then they can't help it, and you have the choice to be understanding or unaccepting.
Know that there are ways to approach every situation in a non-confrontational manner. If the person isn't hurting either themselves of someone else, passivity can be the best course.

I accept that they are psychotic and don't even try to reason with them. I also avoid them as much as possible.

Simply treat them like real people. That's the right thing to do. If you lost your mind, would you want folks to treat you different??Do to others as you would have them do to you.
