I used to write to Celine Dion constantly. She was my idol when I was younger. The only time I ever got a response is when I spent money and joined the fan club, and then I only receive club related stuff; newsletters, posters, t-shirt, etc. It was a big let down. I even sent her one of those cheap best friends necklace where I kept one half and gave her the other. Good thing she never wore it, I think it would have turned her skin green. LOL

Axl Rose. Yes, I got a phone call. I swear this is no lie because all I said in the letter was ..."Been trying to reach you. Please call me as soon as you get this, it's an emergency!"... Someone called me about it a year later. I had forgotten that I even wrote the letter. Like I dummy I told the truth to the person on the other end that there really was no emergency, I just wanted to talk to Axl Rose. This really happened.

yes.... some of you may not even know him... but, Charlie Pride. I saw him in concert when i was very little... maybe 8 or 9 years old. My grandmother never sent the letter... she kept it and put it in my memory book... she is very sentimental like that. So, no i didn't get a response... but, that is who i wrote one too. Go ahead and laugh now... ;0)

I did for a school project. I wrote Dean Koontz, an author. He did write me back actually and I think I still have it. He sent me like a publicity pamphlet and at the end in ink, he answered a few of my questions I had to ask then at the end he signed it, "May you always be safe from goblins, Dean R. Koontz. How cool is that?

I was actually smart enough, as a kid of about 8, to know that getting a reply would never happen unless I made adesperate appeal. My best friend and I got some posterboard and plotted. We matter-of-factly told our idol (to embarrassed to say who) That we were a little girl (true) in love with our hero (true) and that we were dying of some unknown disease in the hospital (very untrue). We even thought about how we'd pull it off should we get that almighty reply. We never did. Very enterprising?
