I bought the Wii last Sunday, and in all the pictures I've seen of the Wii, the disc drive lights up blue, but mine only blinks once when you turn it on, and then turns off right away. I'm wondering if mine's broken, or if that's normal.

Nope. Like you said it only turns on for a second when you turn the Wii on. Otherwise it will light up blue when you receive a message from another Wii system or e-mail.

Yeah, I think that's a an option you can toggle in the Wii options.
It's not broken, mine does that too. Also, I sorta remember reading something about it blinking when you have new messages.

Yes, it's supposed to be blue all the time. You can turn that off though.
