Hello,

The A/C idle boost diaphragm is located at the rear of the carburetor on the right side (Brake Master Cylinder side)

Please don't try to up the idle to compensate for the A/C going on with a screw other then the A/C idle screw.

And don't adjust idle when the car has not warmed up yet. This is to avoid the car from having high idle trouble when fully warm. High idle can lead to dieseling.

The A/C solenoid is on the right inner fender, should be labled with a #30 on the vacuum line which is connected to the lower plastic port on the solenoid.

Vacuum line #30 is what is drawing vacuum to the solenoid. When you turn on the A/C the solenoid lets in the vacuum to the idle diaphragm. The upper vacuum line on the solenoid then transfers the vacuum to the A/C diaphragm to up the idle.

Next time you turn on your A/C watch the linkage on the A/C diaphragm. The linkage should retract when you turn on the A/C
If it does the diaphragm is good.

Now check the screw to make sure it is adjusted right. Turn on the A/C and adjust the screw to up the idle to the original idle speed before the A/C was activated.

If you have trouble seeing the carb working with the air cleaner installed, disconnect #8 under the air cleaner and #33. then useing a vacuum cap, plug the vacuum ports on the hard lines, not on the carb air cleaner... this is to avoid a vacuum leak which would cause the idle diaphragm on the left side of the carb to ramp up the idle. Or the vacuum leak would eventually stall the motor or cause hard start and idle conditions.

So plug those ports and continue with the observation of the A/C linkage to be sure it operated when the A/C is turned on inside the car.

there is a chance that there could be a vacuum leak prior to the solenoid if the diaphragm does not retract.

If the diaphragm does retract and the idle is raised and the screw is adjusted right there could be an "Electrical Load issue" that has to do with a battery cable, grounding wires, or Alternator poblem perhaps.

A/C Idle compensation solenoid is bad or unplugged. It should have 2 wires coming out of it and 2 vaccuum lines. Should be on the fender well or in that area.Good luck

attempt to locate AMSOIL FOAMING cleanser! it really is better and extra sensible than SEAFOAM is. it is going to dissolve DEPOSITS on contact, and also you're ERY smart for cleansing up the IAC vavle! in case you run AMSOIL and GUMOUT by yoru PCV VLAVE< you'll sparkling the MUCK out of the piston earrings, valve heads, O2 senosr and converter(s) that's substantial for reliable operating! modern-day gas has various of detergent in it, and could save the INJECTORS quite sparkling. The IAC and T body should be wiped clean up by hand! <> the O@ sensors sniff for AIR contained in the exhaust, and deliver a demonstration to the IAC to operate MOREE air as requried to make the air/gas mixure CORRECCT! IT salso adjusts the IDLE %! PERAHPS you ought to get a sparkling ENGIEN TEMP SENSORS< and easily authentic HONDA coolant shouldEVER be sued in there! do not get fooled by ordinary coolants, there is not any SUCH element! JAPANES engiens were engineered somewhat in a special way from family contributors ones. extra useful surely! bypass to HONDA and performance your BRAKE FLUID and steerage fluid flushed and crammed. BRAKE FLUDI spoikls, and could develop into GOO and slduge and eventaully can ROT seals in CALIPERS< carry close cylinders and wheel cylinders besides as contained in the ABS pump! ALL brake fludi ought to get replaced each and every 3-4 years of use. it truly is an really good motor vehicle! have the TIMING BELT checked! VERY IMPROTANT! on many HONDA engines a damaged belt will bend VAVLES contained in the engien! this isn't a similar element as a serpentine belt! that's the TIMING BELT! save in contact!

There is a valve that should speed up the engine when the AC is switched on. Yours is apparently malfunctioning.
