Sometimes do take the spurs off, just depends on how hard the ride is going to be. Leave the boots on so can get up and run really quickly if need to.

Then they wouldn't be Cowboys, You see the booths,spurs cowboy hats the belt buckle are all what makes the Cowboy and his horse. Without any of these items then he would be naked of the Term COWBOY. LOL

Because their feet get stinky in those things. No ventilation in cowboy boots. Such a turn off.
