A blood test can be positive as early as ten days after conception. The most common way to determine pregnancy is to purchase an over-the-counter home pregnancy test. The pregnancy tests on the market today can detect a pregnancy as early as the first day of your missed period (the day after your period was due). Many women's cycles are not consistent from month to month. For this reason, some women purchase a kit with two tests, so that they may retake the test three to seven days later if the results are negative or uncertain.

With my first baby I took a test five days before my expected period and it was negative. Two days late for my period and it was positive. With my current pregnancy I got a positive preg test result 8 days before my period, called the dr and had them do a blood test to confirm. Sure enough here I am almost 8 months pregnant!

First Response pregnancy test boasts you can get accurate results five days before your missed period. I was about five weeks pregnant myself and just used an off brand test.

I just saw a commercial from First Response. They claimed that they can detect pregnancy as early as 5 days after your missed period.

Usually 2 weeks but I was 5 weeks when I found out. I thought it was a stomach virus but I was pregnant. If you have seen your cycle in a while go get a blood test done.

I took my test the day of my missed period and it was a very faint line but it was definitely was a positive, it says on the package 4 days before your period but mine would not have even shown up that early.

You could take a test as soon as you missed your period, and it can be positive.
If it's not positive, wait a few days to a week. If you still don't get your period, then take another test. If you're pregnant, it'll definitely be positive by then.

At least 4 weeks. I was 5 and a half weeks before I found out, and a week later it was confirmed at the doctors.
