I have to answer this questions

"What happens to Huck and Jim at the end of the story?"
This I already have an answer for, so nevermind. It's the second part of the question I cannot get...
"Predict will will happen 5 years down the road. What is the life of each (Huck and Jim) like?"
How can I determine from the end of the book what will happen? I mean, I know Huck is going West to OK I think, but that's it, nothing else
Please help??

You can also guess what might happen to Jim by considering what time period the book was written in. Jim is a runaway slave, if I remember correctly. In 5 years, would slavery be abolished? Would Jim travel to a "free" state and get a job? Does he stay with Huck? What kind of job could Jim get? Consider the status blacks had during that time period and what employment would be available for him.

What would Huck Finn do now that he can live apart from his father? What would he do in Oklahoma, a cattle ranching and farming state? Why Oklahoma? Was there a land rush during that time period? Huck doesn't have any kind of education to speak of, so would that limit his job opportunities? Or is Huck motivated enough to get some education on his own?

As the previous answerer stated, you will have to ask some questions and project the future of the book's characters knowing what you do from Mark Twain's clues in the book. Have fun!

Well, think about the setting of the story. The answer has to be a guess that you have come up with based on the setting first - it needs to be realistic in that Huck would go west to frontier, but what would Jim do? How was his life limited at that time in history?
Your guess must also be based on what you know of the characters from reading the book. For example, now that they've been on this adventure and Jim is familiar with the landscape, wouldn't it be safe to predict that Jim might start a business rafting people or supplies up and down the river?

This is something you have to use your imagination for. It's a prediction, not something that you would just know. From reading the entire book, you can "make up" something for each character based on his personality and choices throughout the book.

think of the changes he undergoes iduring the story. Like does he grow more responsible or do you think he'll stop laying pranks and playing around to be an adult or will be always be free...etc. Then imagine what would happen. There's no pat answer to that. So easy question. use your imagination.
