i don't beleive that there's something called ADHD. Try sports and other things that require concentration and make you use up your energy and make you tired. Don't watch TV, . it's just a phase. Don't give it too much importance.

There aren't any cures. If time seems to cure it, then it wasn't ADHD in the first place. If you are inquiring because of a child you need to know that something will mimic ADHD at times in a child. If the parents are going through troubled times or a divorce the emotional upset a child goes through will mimic ADHD very closely which is why I think it is so overly diagnosed.

Anyway, there are things which will help the symptoms tremendously. One is diet. Get rid of all sugar (real or alternative), and use honey or stevia. Get rid of all processed white flour from the diet. These can really exacerbate the problem.

Have a regular regimen of some kind of physical activity. It should be on a regular basis, several times per week.

Lastly, I know that there has been a great deal of success for some people using ginkgo biloba.

I noticed someone above mentioned Dr. Hulda Clark. She is a very good resource.

Forget supplements and spending money on all the stuff you found on the Internet. ADD and ADHD are not cured either with Ritalin or other medication, nor with supplements. The cause of Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity etc. is due to sugar allergy. Remove all sugars from the diet - including all soft drinks, ketchup and other sauces which contains sugar, sweetened yoghurt etc. and much more. You'll have to look at the label each time you buy something, but it's the only way. Be ruthless. Also remove all foods which contain artificial colouring. Just test it: 3 to 4 weeks of this diet and the ADHD person is a new person. Do not reintroduce sugar in the diet before the allergy to sugar has been eliminated with kinesiology. Your boyfriend deserves a good life!

I dot believe that ADHD is something that can be "cured". There are, however, ways alter the beheviour of those that have it. I do not know of any natural ways of doing this and i warn you to be very careful. Much of this natural "medicine" is the same as a sugar pill. It can seem to help, as can a placebo, but it does not do what is claimed.

There are none. It's a brain biochemical problem and some nerve misfirings. If you have sever ADHD you will not have a successful life unless you take medication and learn about the mental illness. My 50 year old boyfriend, although a very talented pianist, was unable to focus long enough to be successful in anything. Thanks to a psychologist who recognized that he had ADHD he would still be in a fog, thinking backwords, doing coke (self medicating) and not finishing anything he started. He is on Ritalin and Wellbutrin and is a different person.

I have read that good quality Cod Liver Oil is good for ADHD, along with good quality deep sea fish as well. Also, see the link below for Dr. Clark, Ph.D.,N.D., who wrote the book, "The Cure For All Diseases." She is very good at explaining the causes of different diseases/conditions and how to cure them naturally as well. Good Luck to you and yours and Godspeed.......

I think that eliminating sugar, caffeine and proceeded foods would help. No red dye or such that could effect behavior. Eliminate foods that come wrapped in cellophane, as most of them are junk foods. And I've read Hulda Clark's book as well, her viewpoint makes sense. And read Adele Davis book's Lets Get Well as well.

My husband and I both suffer with this. Try limiting the MSG(any preservative) in the foods that you eat. Start taking fish oil tablet or flax seed oil and see if this helps. I have tried the fish oil tablets and they do help you to focus.
