It does have the capacity to be if you eat the right things. For example, you can order the grilled chicken sandwiches without mayo for about 340 calories. The salads aren't that bad for you if you use about half the dressing that they give you. The fruit salad is really tasty and the fruit parfait is only 160 calories.

There's no such thing as a restaurant that's simply not healthy. All you need to do is practice good portion control and make smarter decisions than eating a supersized no. 2

ALSO, all the people saying "Watch Supersize me", he ate burgers and fries for 30 days straight. No one is doubting that's really bad for you. The point is that McDonalds has other, healthier options and it's up to you to resist the "good tasting" stuff and instead get healthier choices.

Yes and No! It depends on what you eat. You can actually lose weight on McDonald's if you pay attention to your caloric intake. There are alot of healthy choices now such as the parfait, as well as the Asian Chicken Grilled Salad, and Fruit Salad. However if you opt for a meal that consists of Quarter pounder w/cheese as well as Fries, etc. then it is unhealthy and is predisposing you to atherosclerosis and High blood pressure!

I eat there all the time and I am a fit and healthy 72 year old.

Mind you I am also incredibly obese with severe acne, but that might not be because of McDonalds.

I think overall, McDonald's is unhealthy. They have tried to be more healthy lately, but the majority of their items are NOT healthy. I think watching Supersize Me is still a good recommendation because it shows what eating TOO much McDonald burgers can do to a person's body! I try not to eat too much fast food but do occasionally! But overall? nope.

You know I read all the other articles on fast food. Each one criticizes the other.. Personally I eat at McDonald's once or twice a week, I eat the burgers or the fish sandwich, I love their fries can't beat them anywhere..
I have eaten at Wendy's, Burger King and Carl's Jr....Personally of all the three I would only eat at Wendy's...
Burger King and Carl Jr. make me sick...I always vomit after I eat there..
Wendy's is cool in my book...
As for the Q u asked...I am a thin woman...been eating at McDonald's since I was young...***when the burgers were 25 cents and the ff were 35 cents..
I am in great health ...low cholesterol...no high blood pressure....
Over eaten of any fast food will create unhealthy eating..
All that talk about the man who gained weight eating at McDonald's...well let's see did he eat one portion of things or did he many????
My guess would be he ate like an elephant on steroids...!!!!

Good luck
from
A devoted McDonald's Fan and customer
Happy Eating..!!!!

What really is good for you? First eggs are good, and then they're bad. Margarine is supposed to be a healthier alternative than butter, but margarine actually clogs your arteries more. You can eat salads and stuff if you're really that concerned about it, but just remember that any food eaten in MODERATION is not going to have a detrimental effect on your health. It's a little better to let yourself have a treat once in a while than to build up an intense craving and just binge when you can't take it anymore.

As long as you don't eat there all the time and get the Big Mac meal super-sized, yes. Just like with any other restaurant and food, you need a variety of things, but even if you ate there once a day everyday you would still be fine

No, nothing from mcdonald's is healthy. If you ever watch the movie supersize me then I think you'll know because it technically shows u what fast food can do to you.

Some of their foods are healthy, like their salads and wraps. I think the chicken sandwiches are good as well,.
But no matter what, their french fries are so good, no mattter how bad they are.
