They've proven to be an unreliable ally, and no one can forget the cold war. They are sketchy, have communist leanings still, and use some iffy methods in dealing with foreign nations, especially with their relation to Iran and N Korea. Should they be eleminated before they gain any more power?

(Hell Charlie Range, that draft might come in handy after all!)

I see why you ask this. Russia, beyond a shadow of a doubt, does sponsor and fund terrorism. Their economy is down now, but because of their tremendous oil reserves will rise again. Russia has been and will continue to be an "ally of convenience". Whatever they agree to, and work towards will always be in the best interest of Russia and no one else. Certainly you know the answer to your question is "No.", but Russia will not be a sleeping giant forever.

All you human beings communicate approximately is how undesirable Britain suffered after the conflict. British human beings have been brave and that i admire them with the aid of all ability. however the actual united states who suffered AFTER the conflict substitute into Germany.... They lost thoroughly each thing. mutually with a element of their freedom to those pig Soviets in Berlin. provide Germany East Prussia back. **** Russia, **** France and **** pompous individuals who think of they saved the finished damn international. actually, Russia substitute into the main important defeat for Germany. That substitute into the fantastic punch the the Reich's intestine.

Just Putin. One back-stabber at a time.

EDIT: It is not the height of stupidity. It would have nothing to do with the past. Since when do allies sell arms to an enemy and give the second reason for it as: Trying to level the playing field for Iran against the US?

This is not the way an ally behaves.

They're not a reliable ally, but neither is France. That doesn't justify attacking them. Although in the case of france, a couple of Boy Scouts could probably handle the job.

It sounds from your question the Russians are simply using the same methods that we are using in different countries, they like us seek oil at any cost, the price in lives and in reputation is nothing compared to the barrels and barrels of oil. The only reason perhaps to seek to eliminate them is to do so before they become as we are but then if you check history you will find that may be a folly in itself as at one time and i think they still do have the largest arsenal on the planet, they use to have us out gunned both in planes and ships as well as tanks ect.

This is the height of stupidity. Attacking an ally because we once we're enemies. If that's the logic, shouldn't we be after those nasty British aren't we just anxious to get ours back after the Revolutionary war and 1812. How about the Italians WW2 isn't forgotten yet. Japan anyone?

I think that would be totally useless. Even if we could win that war, it would weaken us to the point that we would be easy fodder for the Chinese. I'm sure Beijing would LOVE to see the US and Russia grind themselves to bits against each other, leaving THEM as the only superpower.

Are you doing polling for the neocons now? What a malevolent question right out of the Third Reich. Now that they are weak, why don't we destroy them? How bout Japan, Mexico, France, Luxembourg, Congo etc. Have you flipped on us. You used to be a reasonable conservative. Are you ok?
