I know it could be an invention in some way(s), because the American government was the first ones to say there was a UFO. Majority Americans were the ones to created the word or idea of aliens, except for the "Dropa stones" in China/Asia, which humming discs tell a story of outside life crashing a spaceship on planet earth long millenia ago. Interesting... hmmmm.

Here's why I believe UFO sightings suddenly skyrocketed in the late 1940's and into the 1950's: because there were dozens of B movies about aliens and UFO's being made, science fiction had just been born, and the idea of UFO's had entered pop culture.
I can't help but wonder why, if aliens and UFO's do exist, they almost never visited countries other than the USA, the country where the idea had swept through popular culture, and why they only began visiting in the late 40's, the time when extraterrestrials first entered pop-culture. And despite the occassional claim that UFO sightings have occured throughout history, there's absolutely nothing substantial to indicate this. Come on, people in ancient and medieval times thought the earth was flat and the sun rotated around us; they had absolutely no concept of beings from other planets. That concept only emerged in the 20th century.
If UFO's really do exist, why aren't there thousands of sightings in Mozambique, or Armenia, or Pakistan? Why do they always occur in countries where UFO's are part of pop-culture? Coincidence? No, it's just the same as people who hear about an illness that's going around and suddenly they're convinced they have it. People in most countries don't watch tv shows about UFO's, so they don't see them floating around at night. Show me a UFO crash landing in Mongolia and I might give it a second thought.
Now, about your theory that Roswell was an elaborate scheme by the US government, there's one big problem with this: the idea that the crash at Roswell might have been a UFO never made waves until 1978! The story was quickly forgotten about when it actually happened in 1947, but 31 years later, a UFO researcher interviewed one of the army officers involved in the Roswell crash and this guy suddenly comes up with the story that the government was covering up an alien crash. Why did it take 31 years and an interview with a man who obviously has something to gain from the story for this big news to come out? If you don't believe that the story didn't break until 1978, read the Wikipedia article about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roswell_UFO_incident
Most people will believe just about anything without taking a closer look at it. The above post about hearing that aliens have mutilated cows in Montana on the radio just proves my point: if you make movies and tv shows and radio shows about little green men, some people are bound to start seeing them.

UFO is an acronym for Unidentified Flying Object. Therefore if you see something in the sky and cannot identify it, then you have seen a UFO. So yes, UFOs exist.
If you are asking if some UFOs are spacecraft from other star systems, the answer is "no, I doubt it very strongly."
So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.
Why haven't we heard from them?
Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.
Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.
Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.
Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.
Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.
It is really impossible to know for sure.
The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

I don't know how old are you or how much time you have spend researching this subject. But your assumption is wrong. There are many accounts of sightings way before the colonist arrived to America. Throughout the middle ages and even in the bible.
Your insinuation that the Fed Gov initiated the rumor to make the USSR believe they have alien tech is unfounded since there were just as many UFO report from the USSR from that time period as well as way earlier.
Now, to say the the Gov used the UFO craze to their advantage as a way to dismiss any sighting of the development their spy plane programs its credible.

Yes there is life out there. A lot has be found around the Montana area. And several other places as well. They had it on the radio the other morning for a about 2 or 3 hours talking about what all had been found and what all was missing. Several head of cattle were missing. There was one story about a cow that had been found in a field that one ear, one eye, had been cut off, a perfect circle cut around the ear and eye. Her tongue, side of her face was cut away. Her rectum and genitals had been cut out in plug form. Her utter had been cut out in a perfect circle as well. No blood was found around her or on her at all. No other animal that eats on other dead animals would come around her at all. This and a lot more was told on the radio the other morning. There was way to much to write here as to what all was said. No I am not making any of this up at all. This is a station that my mom and dad lessons to all the time. Sorry I can't remember what station it is. But if you want to know, let me know and I will ask mom and I will tell you.

Something else happened right around then. A physicist, Szilard, with Einstein recommended to President Roosevelt that we build the "chain-reaction" bomb that the Germans were trying to make . . .the "atom" bomb. That's all unfortunate and one cannot help but wonder why that science, those papers, were allowed to lead mankind down that path that led to nuclear weapons. But, more interesting, and I suggest you look into it, were the scientific research papers at the same time in history that Szilard did NOT let humanity see, the ones he scrambled all over the world and talked physicists and scientists into burning immediately. Want scary dreams tonight? They had nothing to do with the bomb. Something changed in the world after whatever THAT discovery was.

Of course "UFO"s exist!
"UFO" means "Unidentified Flying Object".
Our sky is full of unknown objects all the time.
Are they spacecraft?
Are they secret military aircraft?
Are they government experiments?
I don't know.
That's why we call them "unidentified".
Aside from that, my religion (I am a Mormon) teaches that there are other worlds with intelligent beings, who look just like us, for God created those worlds, and all people are created in God's image.
Plants and animals would vary, but human beings will still look like God, who literally is the father of all of us.
Can these different worlds ever communicate with each other?
Probably, but in what format, we can only speculate.
Will the peoples from different worlds ever actually visit each other?
Maybe, especially if Albert Einstein is correct about his therories regarding space/time continuum along with the possibility of wormholes in our universe.
In addition to other physical planets in the universe, there also exists multiple dimensions within each world, and possibly within the universe.
In fact, maybe there's even something beyond our own cosmos.
The possibilities for unexplained phenomena are endless, so we shouldn't be too quick to lightly dismiss those occurrances which we are unable to readily fathom.

I agree with you.
At the same time, I also think it's arrogant to believe that we are the only life in the universe. I don't think we'll turn into Star Wars where various lifeforms from other planets in the same galaxy interact on a daily basis. But who knows what's out there?

I have seen things that didn't seem to be from technology people are known to have. I can not say who made them or where they came from. It was good when my husband finally saw one, since he seemed to not believe me. After the sighting, he is more open minded.
Why couldn't there be other intelligent life forms in the universe? I do not believe that everything comes from the US government.

Yes, i believe ufos exist, and yes, i think the government is using the idea of ufos as a cover for other ops. The universe is too broad and we understand too little about it to discount the possibility of their existence, and this has been exploited by opportunistic federal agencies looking to cover their tracks. But that is just one mans opinion.
